Kia Orana e te au Tangata Kuki Airani,

Just letting everyone know in the Cook Islands that there is an Educational Trust fund here that was formed and registered in 2023 named “Tamariki Kuki Airani Trust” (TAKA Educational Trust) and has a small fund available now and expecting to grow.

The purpose of the trust is to further the education of resident students (no age limit) anywhere in the Cook Islands who are financially and/or socially disadvantaged.

“Kia matutu uatu rai te au tama u’a o te anau tamariki o te Kuki Airani” is the principle of this trust. Translated, “To empower and strengthen the children of the Cook Islands” and maintain our cultural values.

TAKA Educational Trust is reaching out to any individuals or organizations needing financial assistance in any of the following:

• School fees / tutoring fees / course fees (Primary/Secondary School, USP, CITTI)

• Bus Transport (greater than 3km)

• Learning materials

• Uniforms

• Internet (online courses)

• Nutrition

Anything that will help you further and/or complete an academic education, trade or skill that will benefit you and your community.

The above is not limited or restricted to students only. So, anyone wanting to tutor or teach others are welcome to apply for assistance as well. Educational materials that may need assistance to be transported etc.
